The i5 doesn't even have multithreading The cpu has became a big bottleneck for me, both games and work-ish stuff. What board should i pick and i'm missing something from amd that i did not take into consideration?I really didn't notice that the i5 didn't have hyperthreading.
I would actually say intel is less reliable since they are being constantly bombarded with security exploits.3600, the 9600k isn't worth considering unless you already own a compatible motherboard.
With the cpu i'll buy 16gb 3600mhz ram (the best i could find for my budget). For amd i know what board to pick (msi b450 tomahawk) but for intel i don't know if i should pick the MSI B360 gaming plus, the Gigabyte H360 HD3 or the MSI Z370-A PRO.Clock speed shouldn't be your biggest concern; it only makes the i5-9600k harder to keep cool as it uses current less efficiently and the 3600 has an IPC advantage to compensate for lower clock speed.
As for the motherboard the price between the Tomahawk i picked and the b450-A pro max you suggested Is about the same (10 euros less on the same store as the cpu and 5 euro less on another store but i have to include shippig)I thought about buying amd but i've seen it doesn't overclock well, on the other hand the i5 reaches 5ghz. Get new friends, they're lyingReliability is only really an issue with AMD GPUs, their CPU game is solid.
The 3600 is in competition with Intel’s 6-core i5-9600K.
So since the times of the Phenom 2 i'm back with an AMD build :DThe difference between the 3600 and the 3600x Is only 3 euros so that's why i picked that.
