Maybe next time instead of yelling at a 3 year old and his parents you can calmly ask him to lift the paddle off the shore. Ben took my son and I on a really relaxing tour of Jordan Lake. Date of experience: May 2015.
After researching all the possible options for stand up paddle boarding in the Durham area, Jordan Lake Water Sports (JLWS) is not only one of the only options, it is the best! As I packed up my own board he came over again, we thought perhaps to apologize? I will be sure to share my experience with others. Once you visit their office and pay, they load up the boards for you and meet you at the launch point about 5 minutes away.
His hours are convenient, and he'll do anything he can to accommodate your needs.
