In face, I sometimes even tie swivels on the top end of my leader when topwater fishing to help them get down… but I’ve not been able to tell a difference between using a fluoro and mono leader.In answer to the FG knot going through guides, I do not recommend casting any knot through guides on a consistent basis because the friction from hitting the guides will weaken any knot. Tie a spider in the braid and then an offshore knot to the leader.
